Portraits of Punjab offers a lens on the architecture, nature, villages and people of Punjab, a region in north-western India and the homeland of more than 12,000 residents of Hume.

Inspired by the landscapes, faces, and colours of Punjab, and the artists personal connection to the region, the paintings capture the different facets of the Punjabi identity. Diasporic Punjab’s aspire to keep the connection to the homeland alive by nurturing this identity, and the exhibition is the artist’s own efforts to strengthen his relationship while offering the community an opportunity to re-connect with or discover Punjab.
